Hello to one and all! I finally made it to the land of creative blogging! It's a little past my bedtime but I wanted to post before I called it an evening.
First off, sorry about the huge amount of delays involved. Work and school have been incredibly busy. I tend to post a lot more of my day to day activity at my personal blog. However, most of the blogs are set to friends only. So if you have an account feel free to send me a request!
Then I decided to add the "How to Write your Book and Sell It" class to my Wednesday nights. Both a wonderful and terrible idea at the same time. I really think it's going to help me creatively and assist me on the path to recognizing one of my life-long dreams. I don't care if I become famous, I just want my writings out there. So, starting this weekend, I am diving into the research process. Character development, Plot Outlines, the whole nine yards. I want to get a decent skeleton together so that I can officially move onto the writing process. I'm excited about this!!
Photography wise, most of my photographs can be viewed here. I was a little bummed out on Tuesday. I was really proud of the pictures that I shot (Assignment 3). I thought they would be something the teacher would catch onto. Especially the time one. However, he seemed to only like the picture of Buddha and then overlooked the rest. It was kind of a kick in the teeth on the hardwork I dedicated to this assignment. However, I'm alright with it now. He looks at so many photographs that -=shrugs=- he's seen it all. I guess all that matters is the overwhelming responses I have gotten from my classmates on it.
Now for the knitting!!
The 2 Hour Hand Bag! Both have been completed and are ready to be sent to the welcoming little hands of my birthday girl family members. They were felted by hand and oh.. my..goodness... HOW IN THE WORLD DO PEOPLE DO THAT ALL THE TIME? -=giggle=- I continued doing it to the best of my ability until I didn't care if you saw the stitches or not. So alas, my bags turned out a little fuzzy and shrank a tad. Mostly because I know little girls, and I didn't want to put an exceptional amount of time into felting them when I have no doubt that I am going to be asked to make another one in a couple of months. When they get something hand-made it goes EVERYWHERE with them. Which usually means high rip factor.
Here's a picture of Valerie Brooke's Bag after felting:

See what I mean, a little fuzzy but definitely not felted by a pro. -=giggle=- Next time, I am machine washing these things to a pulp. See how they like it! Brianna's is hanging up, after I stitch on a couple of cute pre-felted hearts (Thanks A.C. Moore) I'll post pictures of that one too.
Has everyone made it over to knitpicks to see their lovely sale? I sure as hell did. -=giggle=- 9 Balls of Ebony Shine Worsted Weight Yarn and 5 of Tidepool Heather Pallet.
The plans:
Ebony Shine Worsted - Snow White or Scoop Neck Vest
Tidepool Heather Pallet - Razor Cami
The colors are pretty basic so I don't think I'll be posting it as Yarn Porn or anything. However, I think I am getting my tax money tomorrow and I definitely am going to buy a couple of skeins of Malabrigo. I have been craving it! I'm addicted. -=giggle=- Other than that, this weekend will probably bring the creation of another Monk Hat (One I'll Keep This Time!), I want to continue on Luis's Scarf (Basic Rib Scarf, Nothing to Really See), and I want to work on Blossom ( I haven't touched it in months). The Tree Jacket is still being punished in the bottom of my knitting bag. I am setting myself a deadline. If I don't work on it in the next couple of week, I'm going to frog it and use the yarn for something else. I don't want to but maybe that will motivate me to get a move on.
On the note of yarn, I mentioned in an earlier Drive-By post that Mary Catherine rocks my socks and got me yarn. Here's a picture of that yarn! Isn't it pretty!!!

Before I put myself and this blog to bed for the evening, I wanted to ask a question. I'm starting to get the Birthday Question. You know, "What do you want for your Birthday?" They're not taking "Knitting Stuff" lightly. So I was curious, what books are out there that you think every knitter should have? Anything specific that, from reading my blog, you think I would be into? I have very few chances to ever get to a book store that it's hard to know what's new and worth the price. Also, can anyone direct me to an inexpensive Swift and Ball Winder? I desperately need one, considering I have been putting off 2 projects because it means I have to wind the yarn by hand.
Longest time it has taken me to wind yarn: 3+ hours Shortest time: 1-2 hours
I'm not the fastest winder in the bunch. -=giggle=-
One last thing, I swear, I'm going to a Knit in at Barnes'n'Nobles on Sunday! Pictures will be taken and much fun will be had! Labels: Baby Knitting, Knitting, Life, Photography, School, Update, Work, Writing |

The Blog |
Wednesday, October 17, 2007 |
Alrighty, I have posted a meme and my HSKS trivia/picture hunt. Now it's time for the blog. -=giggle=- It's been a while since I have posted. So here goes:
Knitting: I started over on my HSKS 3 bag. I am really going to work on it more tomorrow. I really haven't had the opportunity since I have a Bio paper due on Saturday. The Baby Blanket has been frogged back again. I am not a fan of the yarn I bought, it frays way to easily so I am going to buy some better quality yarn before trying it again. Right now, priority one is the bag since I need to send the package out before the 31st. The Day of the Dead package for Christine is done. I really hope she likes the goodies I found for her. My Movie Swap package is nearly done. I just need to wait on the movie to arrive and I want to throw in a couple more goodies before I ship it out.
Movies: 25th hour with Edward Norton was an awesome movie and I recommend it to anyone. It's a little depressing as most Spike Lee films are. However, it's the first Spike Lee movie I haven't hated, so that's saying something. Bride to Terabithia, I was unimpressed with. Although, I thought it was going to be about something totally different. It's a great family movie but -=shrugs=- typical.
Rock'n'Shock: What an awesome outing that was! We left around last Saturday and got there around 3. We immediatly went to the celebrity area to check out the lines. Here are the pictures I got with some of them.
1. Picture with Tony Todd (Candyman) 2. Picture with Angela Bettis (May, Girl Interrupted) 3. Picture with P.J. Soles (Halloween, Carrie) 4. Picture with Electra and Elise Avellan (Babysitter Twins from Grindhouse) 5. Picture with James Duval (Donnie Darko, May, Independance Day) 6. Picture of Daeg Faerch (Halloween 2007) He wouldn't take a picture with me unless I bought something from his booth. To hell with that I say. 7. Me in adoration of the Freddy Glove 8.The Rock'N'Shock Crew (missing Paul)
I'm planning on doing a meme all about Grim. So I will post his pictures when I do that. He turned into a cute little boy when he met Angela Bettis, apparently he likes her. -=giggle=- So the convention was cool. A little less than what I expected but fun anyway. I ended up buying The best of the Nighmare on Elmstreet T'V Show, Death Proof, Planet Terror and Daywatch. Grim got a Cluthlu Shirt and I also got Freddy vs. Jason Earrings. I think that's it. Well I went to include they're having a Nightmare on Elmstreet reunion that I am going to go to.. I looked it up and weelll.. it's in Texas. The plane tickets would be about 350 a piece. No can do... Le Sigh. Anyways, on with the blog.. After the convention we went to the concert. Lordi, Dark Funeral (Sucked so bad I won't put up a link, in fact here's a picture of me when they were playing.), Mushroomhead and Type O Negative. Lordi was entertaining and epic. Dark Funeral was a REALLY BAD death metal band, Mushroomhead rocked my socks off and Type O Negative left me unimpressed. I love Type O and something has changed. Maybe Peter Steele, lead singer and bassist is getting to old to hit the low notes he once could hit, maybe he's sick.. all I know is I was unimpressed. Not to mention we were unable to leave the concert hall to smoke, so that sucked too. We finally got out of there at around 3 and anyone who smoked was chain smoking to catch up for missed time. I am exaggerating of course. We got home at 5 and spent all Sunday morning catching up on sleep.
Life: Work is going well enough. I went to the school today and got my registration number for my classes. I am going to be taking another Basic Math course and Literature into Film. It should be fun, well one class should be fun anyway. Guess which one ? -=giggle=- Turns out I have to take Math course from now until Fall of next year, then I get to go back to my Psych courses. Wippie! I still have no idea where I want to go, so I am keeping the idea local until I figure out if I really want to move anyway. Which we might.. On a totally unrelated topic, I went to the smoke shop to pick up cloves. I don't smoke cigs and cloves can only be found at specialty stores. Anyways, they sell cards at this particular smoke shop. When I walked in I found out that every card in the store was free. I grabbed a big bag and loaded up. I have enough cards to cover the next 5 years in birthdays. -=giggle=- Which is good, I am a card nut. I like to keep in touch with friends.
Alrighty, it's 11:36 pm now and I need to get ready for bed. Besides I honestly think I wrote about everything.
Night night all

Hi There! |
Sunday, September 16, 2007 |
I wanted to drop in and write a quick blog regarding what has been going on lately. Which really isn't that much to be honest. -=giggle=- I'll think through it in lists so I know I didn't miss anything.
School: I successfully managed to run around campus Wed and Thursday and get everything situated for "dropping down" to Elementary Math. Everyone kept trying to change my mind. Eventually, I plainly said "Look, I'm math dumb, I am not going to stay in a class and fail it just to see if I can actually accomplish anything at an advanced level." After that, everything got arranged. Then I went to the bookstore and found out that I can trade in my Intermediate Algebra book for the one needed for Elementary Algebra. Woot!! I was happy about that one. I didn't want to have to shell out another $100 dollars for school books.
HSKS 3: I haven't started the bag yet for my partner. Adele helped me a bit with the measurements and trying to increase the size of the bag. I just get nervous casting on more stitches and making it longer. It's a shaped bag so what if I end up making it look lopsided. If anyone wants the pattern to see what I am talking about, I will send it to you. Also, -=giggle=- I rarely give hints to partners as to what I want.. but this.. is toooo damn cute!! -=wink, nudge=- I am going to be getting the final details together next week for my partner. Then I am digging into knitting the bag. Oh! The Hufflepuff team got full marks for Participation and we found the Snitch! We're now leading in the house race for the cup! -=dances a jig=- I was hoping we would get full marks for participation that way I could do my drawing at the end of the Quidditch season. (End of Oct). I decided that if we got full marks for all activities, we would have a drawing and the winner would get some form of yarnie goodness.
Knitting: I actually did do a little knitting today. Hold you gasps everyone! I swatched for the Accidentally on Purpose Drop Stitch Vest from Stitch'n'Bitch Nation. The yarn I am going to use is the yarn I thought I was going to make into the fingerless gloves. Turns out, that yarn is a little to thin for those warmers. Not to mention, I am really starting to get irritated with DPNs! They're just tooo damn weird to hold. So here's the question of the day. Can you just use circular needles and get the same result? If not, why? Oh, I also rolled up my first skein of yarn and it didn't knot and take me 2 hours to get untangles. -=giggle=-
Media: Deadwood is so awesome. I can't even accurately explain and do it any justice. The character development and transition is phenomenal! You feel for every single character shown, even the bad guys. The story lines draw you in and hook you! I can't believe they canceled it!!! Grim and I are through the 2nd Season and starting the third and final season Monday. After that, that's it. No more Deadwood. Le Sigh. First Queer as Folk, then Firefly, now Deadwood. That sucks. Anyways, continuing on. Keeping to the Western theme, Date night this weekend was spent watching 3:10 to Yuma. Awesome movie! Russell Crowe plays an amazing villian. He's got the look that gives him that edge. Christian Bale, just plan kicks ass as an actor any way you look at it. I love watching any movie he is in. It was just brilliant. Action packed and worth the money to see on the Big Screen. Now, the unfortunate part of this whole movie experience. Were the damn old people not young but older people.. Talking behind us... LOUD. Now I don't know if they couldn't hear how loud they were talking or what... but Jesus Christ. I was getting mad. Grim even politely turned around and asked them to whisper. They just looked at him. So a little while in they still talk.. I grab Grim's arm and move. I was so pissed at these people for not being respectful enough to keep quiet. Kids I can see being d*cks but not these folks. God I was mad. So if you go to see the movie, bring a frying pan in case you have a talker behind you.
Weekend: Like I said, tonight was date night. We do that from time to time so that we don't lose the fun of going out and doing something. You know, sometimes when you get wrapped up in daily life you just don't have time to be together. We made a promise to eachother never to be that way. So at least 2 or 3 times a month we go out and just do things together. Mostly it's movies because Grim knows that's my thing. -=giggle=- Tomorrow, the school is having a Craft Festival that I intend to go and check out. Wish me luck on good yarn finds.
For tonight dears, I think that's about it.
Night night!

Alright..Here we go. |
Saturday, August 25, 2007 |
I'll do a run down of the essential elements of the week.
Sunday: Paulie (Grim's Friend), Grim and myself go visit Grim's Sister in the hospital. Apparently she was admitted Saturday morning. She had a huge lump on her wrist and a couple weird marks on her legs. When she woke up Saturday morning she was having difficulty breathing. When we visited her they still didn't know what was wrong with her. They were really concerned considering she just got back from another country and when she stayed there she stayed in Squats and Hostels. She's not really a hotel sort of traveler. -=giggle=- She looked well when we visited her aside from the fact I think she was on a little bit of pain meds. The doctors seemed to think it was a big bite and an allergic reaction. She didn't agree since the big lump on her wrist happened after the ones on her legs showed up. I don't think they ever figured out what was wrong and they released her Monday morning.
Monday: I do my get ready for work thing. Get in my car and start it up. I notice it's doing a weird shuttering sort of thing and I look up to see the check engine light is on. Shit. So I bring it into the Chevy dealership and my boss picks me up for work. At around 4, I call them to check on it. They haven't even looked at it. So my boss drives me home.
Tuesday: Everything goes along smoothly. I call the dealership a couple of times and they still haven't gotten my car in. Around 2, the service clerk calls me. He tells me that I need two gaskets and my timing belt replaced. I ask him, how much is that going to cost me ? Ready for this ? 1,875 dollars.
This is me:
I actually went outside and called Grim. Let the tears flow freely. My boss comes out to ask me about a report and I am still in tears. She talks to me for a while then calls her car shop that she has been going to since she was 17. They laugh at the estimate and tell me to bring it in for them to take a look at it. So we go and get my car. The clerk tells me that GM would probably cover a portion of it. That if I stayed, he could do that for me. I tell him, "Since it's not covered under warranty. I can take my car where I want to now. So no thanks." He says it again, I tell him.. No. I pay for my oil change and inspection and leave. The car place is out in the middle of nowhere but the shop is run by a father and son. The son was very very nice and told me that he would take care of it but it probably wouldn't be until Thursday or Friday. Not a problem. I borrow my mom's SUV for the next couple of days. Note: The car ran fine all the way there and the engine light was off.
Wednesday: Uneventful
Thursday: I come home and get a call from the shop. He tells me that he looked over my car and had his son look over it too. They can't find a single things wrong with it at all. They changed the air filter because it was really disgustingly dirty and they drove it around alot to make sure it didn't act up again. Total: 73.00 dollars. I asked them, what the hell Chevy was charging me for? They told me that they probably couldn't find anything wrong with it either but I hit the 54,000 miles limit. That means that I am in need up a tune up. So all these things they were saying that I needed was only preventive. I didn't need any of it. I was dancing the rest of the night!!
Friday: I go and pick up my car. The gentleman tells me that I am going to need to change my timing belt at about 60,000 miles. Other than that, if I have any problems, bring it back in and they'll take a look. He was such a sweet man. He assured me that he looked over every possible plug and valve to make sure everything was in order. He even ran through the program that Chevy uses to diagnose my car. He said they were definitely following the guidelines of a tune-up. When they plugged in to find the distress code (why the engine light was on). Turns out it was a General Manufacturer distress code. The car recognizes you've passes a certain millage and clicks over that you need to service your engine.
$1,875 - $73.00 = $1,802 worth of savings.
This is me now:
-=giggle=-
So that's why I haven't been around. To much stress and not enough drive to actually type all this out and worry myself more.
On another note, Debbie was my shining star on Thursday. She sent me a package for helping her out with trying to find a pattern!!

I have already started the book. It's awesome so far. They just throw you right into the zombie mess. -=giggle=- In case you can't see the yarn is called Head Vampire. I am soooo loving it! -=giggle=- I am thinking about jumping on the site and ordering some more of it as a treat to myself for this stressful ass week.
Alright so in other news...
Knitting: I haven't worked on anything this week. I think I am going to start a pair of fingerless gloves sometime tonight though. I have been looking through patterns and things. I want to try making a shirt or something. Although I am really nervous about jumping into it. We'll see. First and foremost I want to finish the gloves and the Record bag. The socks are just hanging out in the bottom of my bag. I haven't been inspired to work on them lately.
Reading: I am almost finished with Rant. Can we say weird? -=giggle=- It's really good, really bizarre but a decent read/listen anyway. Thank You Erika for leading me head first into the world of rabies and party crashers. Thinking on it. I think I know why I like Chuck P. so much. It's because he always makes his own little sub-culture. I mean you have Fight Club which is self explanatory. Then you have Party Crashing. People dress up and dress their car up for an event(wedding, student driver, anniversary, etc.) then they all crash into eachother. -=giggle=- That was of course the condensed version.. If you want to know more, read the book. The next title on my listening agenda is Scanner Darkly. Good movie, I am hoping that the book will be good as well.
Media: Netflix has started us on Deadwood. After only watching 5 minutes of it. I think it looks damn interesting. -=giggle=- Supernatural is available September 11th! I can't wait. I love that show. I have also been watching a lot of X-Files lately.. Believe it or not, I have never seen that show. I also got the pleasure of seeing "The Producers". What a funny movie! -=giggle=-
Well I think that about sums it up. I"ll be back tomorrow. Tonight we're heading out to the fair with a bunch of friends. Tomorrow is family day.
Talk to you soon!

Hello there! I have returned a day later than expected to rant and ramble some more! -=giggle=- I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend so far! If you don't like geekiness, skip over the first section.-=giggle=-
Gaming Front (Ace's and Eights): I don't think I mentioned it in my last post but on Tuesday but Anne (my character) killed Mary (Pounce's character). Before the boos and hissing starts. Or confusion if you have never gamed before... My character had the chissler flaw. She would scam anyone, even her own family member. If it came down to the loot or the person.. Loot won, hands down. Now they had just robbed a bank and here Anne is carrying $6,000 dollars. What do you think she did ? She told Mary to let her walk with the money and she wouldn't kill her. Mary fought back, Anne's shotgun won. She walked away 6,000 richer.
Well needless to say, that ended that campaign. So we rolled up new characters and I actually ended up playing a boy. His name is Jake Hale and he's a mountain man. It's a little awkward at times playing a boy but I grew up in Hernando, Mississippi. All I have to do is draw on my roots and I am playing the character the way it's meant to be played.
Knitting: I haven't done anything more with the socks since the last time I posted. I haven't been in the mood for rib stitch. Today I ended up going to the library and picking up Funky Knits. Not a bad book if I do say so. There are a couple of things I thought would be cute to make. One of them was a bag called the Record Bag. It's got a little bit of a grunge look thing going on. Anyways, there was a knit/Charmed night at Pounce's house and that gave me the opportunity to get the front done. Then when I came home I worked on one of the side panels. I am going to have to get a couple more skeins of yarn to finish it though. Here's the progress so far! Nevermind the curling, I still need to press them flat.

I opted to make the side panels a different color for a little bit of effect. That's not really the best picture of the yarn though. Here's the actual color.
It's looks really awesome together. I am loving it already! In other knitting related news. I placed an order with Knitpicks. I am a bad yarn dieter. -=giggle=- I can't resist a sale though. I also found Knitting Lingerie Style for ridiculously cheap! In the stores it's around $30.00 on Knit Picks it was only $17.00 or so. I also got 2 or 3 skeins (can't remember) of this yarn (color: Meadow Multi)! I am kicking myself in the arse for not ordering the Memories yarn. I was debating over this beautiful purple colorway but I waited to long and now they're all gone . I think that's it for the knitting front for now.
Life: School is starting soon. I believe I mentioned how I am not looking forward to it.. If I did, I am saying it again. The idea of having to take Algebra two days out of the week and then Bio on a Saturday is about as appealing as a root canal. Ugh. Oh well, push on and upward. I got the call back and my books are in. I even got a reasonable rate! -=does a dance=- I was notified that my loan check will be here in 7 to 10 days. Another big Woot there! I will be able to pay off all my bills with that. Or at least all the credit cards and my computer bill. Not to mention pay back the money to my mom. Some in the bank, and a few odds and ends I have been wanting. -=cough=-yarn-=cough=-. I have been thinking about looking into laptops again. I really want one that actually works. The last two I have bought have been DUDS! Positively the worst computers I have ever typed on. That's my luck though. I also want to start pricing tattoos again. I have been really itching to get that back piece done. Money has been holding me back with that one though. I am trying to think of anything else but I can't come up with anything really.
Oh! Erika, I picked up Rant! I remembered you mentioning that it was good so I thought I would give it a try. I was just wondering. Should I be prepared for something like Choke? That book was pretty F*cking weird. -=giggle=- I just want to know if I should be scared or not.
I believe that is all everyone. I hope all is well and wonderful! Night Night!!

An Update and Nominations! |
Friday, August 3, 2007 |
It's been busy since the last time I wrote. That's the only excuse I can give for my absence. Saturday night I ended up coming down with a stomach bug that lasted all the way until Monday afternoon. I didn't eat a full meal after the Mexican dinner I mentioned.
Monday afternoon my friend, Louis, came to visit Grim and I. He had went to Virginia and decided to come out of his way to hang out with us. We insisted that he spend the night. So we hung out and talked about gaming before we decided to play a quick Wraith game. It was fun! Louis's character ended up clocking my character across the face for mentioning his adulterous wife. He was playing a tow truck diver killed in an accident after he caught his wife having an affair. My character paid him back by kick him through a door that turned out to have a Spectre (Really bad evil mean ghost) in it. Serves him right. My character was an Anarchist punk rocker that was shot after attempting to rob an armed man. Much fun was had by all. I seem to always forget how scary that game is.
Blogging has also been put off due to sleep deprivation. I just got a full night's sleep last night. I don't know why I have been so unable to fall asleep but it seriously put a damper on my mood.
Work has been ridiculous and hellishly busy lately. Due to the fact I took Monday off, I have been working through all my breaks trying to make up the time. So that means 4 nine hour days and one 10 hour day (had to stay late). Compared to other drops this might be a laughable complaint but I don't like not having a chance to recollect myself and relax with my lunch.
I did not get the loan. Le Sigh. I found that out on Monday when I was sick... Not a good morning indeed. I have not lost hope to other options but I think I am less optimistic. On the note of money though, I got my Financial Aid in full! It covers all of my tuition and maybe part of my books if I am lucky.
Other than that I think that's really the general update of things that relate to my life at present. Now to hobbies!
Knitting: I have been really lazy and tired lately. Since rib stitch is my worst stitch ever I haven't worked on the Calorimetry. I think I am going to go out tomorrow and get the materials needed for my first pair of socks! It's what I decided to do for the Lifetime of Learning-Along.
Reading: I am getting pretty far into HP #7. I can't wait to finish it. I mean it seems like I am the only one that doesn't know the ending. -=giggle=- I am hoping to get some reading time in tomorrow. I just finished listening to the audio book of "Pride and Prejudice". I'll confess that I loved it, but only because I was listening to it and not reading it. I have come to the conclusion that Jane Austin's work is something I am just never going to be able to comprehend via reading it myself.
Movies: We just watched Blood and Chocolate yesterday. It wasn't a bad movie at all. Of course it was nothing like the book. I liked both for different reasons. The human to wolf transition was beautifully done. am glad that they didn't try and do what everyone else has done. I love the magical element to it. I recommend it to anyone who likes love stories and supernatural creatures!
Nominations:
I was nominated by Teresa for the Creative Blogger Award and now I am going to nominate 5 as well!
4. Rosemary
5. Sheilaz
Alright everyone. I think I am off to bed now. I can't think of anything else at the moment and if I do I'll blog about it tomorrow! Night night!

Delayed Posting |
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 |
Sorry about my lack of posting lovelies. I have pretty much been coming home and hanging out and sleeping. So here is another catch up blog.
Saturday - Grim and I went to a double Birthday party for a couple of friends of ours. It was a lot of fun. I jumped into the pool fully clothed after Grim double dared me. I started it. -=giggle=- Pretty soon people were either in the pool fully clothed or in their underwear. I think two people maybe had swim suits. -=giggle=- It was an incredible time.
Sunday - My back was killing me so we stayed home. I got a couple more things done around the house.
Monday- Back to work for the day. That night Grim's parents came into town for a free concert right acrossed the street from us. (Sometimes it pays to live across from a park and theatre). So we went with them. I had never heard of the band so I was a little nervous about going. After being reassured by Grim that I would love them, I chilled out. I was just tired and cranky. Long work day and I tell him when he asks why I look miserable. He looks at me.. and says.. "Sleep when your dead." I don't know why it hit me so hard but it did. The Cat Empire came on and I was up in front dancing my damn tired arse through the entire set. They were wonderful! I mean fantastic! Reggae, Ska, Latin mix.. you can't go wrong with that! His words stuck with me though, Funny what will strike you and make you have a moment of complete clarity. I do spend too much of my time thinking about work the next day. I should go out and do things while I still can. Sleep be damned. It could also be the reason why I have been utterly exhausted lately. =P
Tuesday - Just a day. Worked, cleaned up a bit.
Wednesday - Went to work, Got a terrible stomach bug, Came home from work at 11 and slept until 3.
That covers the life section, now to the knitting.
I finished the last washcloth for the moms. I realize I said that the last blog but I decided to make one more. Then I picked up the old poncho that I have been avoiding for months on end now. I am actually to a place where I have no idea what to do so I am going to put it to the boards and see what they say about it. Speaking of the boards! I am running next months along! Lifetime of Learning! Come Join! Come Join!
I am thinking about other things I wanted to write about but Migraine Residue is blocking all important notes out of my head. I went to Emily's Etsy store and it's down for now. I am hoping to get a matching/complimentary color of yarn that works with the other one I bought from her. I was looking through Stitch 'n' Bitch last night and saw a bag I want to make with it.
Anyways, I'll probably think of more later but I am done for now. I am cutting into Grim's computer time.

It's About Time! |
Saturday, June 30, 2007 |
Life. I know, I know I have seriously been slacking lately. In my defense, I have been busy at work and with just about everything else. That's only the half truth though. While I have been working a lot, most of the time I am playing Eternal Darkness or knitting. Eternal Darkness will suck your brains out of your ear so that you will never move from the TV screen. I am getting in pretty deep, plot wise. At the moment, I am taking a break. I died, and screamed "F--- You" so loud that I gave myself a soar throat. Never a good sign when you get that into a video game.
Okay, new developments. I am going on vacation Wednesday, so I don't think I will be blogging too much until I get back. Where am I going ? To the best display of geek mentality in the world. Origins! -=does a dance=- I am going to come home with so many RPG books and dice that my car is going to drag on the ground. It's hopefully going to be a lot of fun. I know most of the area Origins is going to be in so it should be nice to revisit old spots. Grim and I renewed our lease for another year. We will not be moving after all. We took a look at another apartment under the same management. Let's just say, Ewww sums it up very nicely. She literally kept her house like a pig pen. When you saw passed that, the apartment was really little. Everything else we looked at or called about was way out of our price range. Even with the increase of rent this place is still more affordable than anything else. We'll probably be looking again next year, but at least then we'll be better prepared.
On another note, my condition for resigning the lease was to do something about storage. Anyone know of cute ways to provide more storage. I have one closet and a couple little places I can stick things. =)
Knitting. I have finished the 2nd Secret Pal gift which I will reveal to you after I send it. I think it's cute but I hope she likes it. I also just need to get a couple more things for both Swaps and I am done. -=does a dance=- The Sci-Fi swap, I completely winged. She didn't seem to amped to disclose any details, so if she doesn't like what I got her. -=shrugs=- Not to sound mean, but it's not my problem. I seriously did my investigative work for this one. I tried my best. I am CO for my bathing suit. That is going to be my car project. I am also thinking about finding another small project in case I get bored and I have been entertaining the idea of trying my hand at sock knitting. We'll see though. -=giggle=-
Spinning. What spinning ? I did try again and the roving broke and I don't know how to put it back on. So I started hunting for spinning places on the web. I found one! There is a yarn store that has a night where the "Spin Doctor" comes in and answers and questions. That individual will also teach you how to spin if you get there first. So after vacation, I am running over there and demanding some answers as nicely as I can. -=giggle=-
Reading. Check my reading blog. WARNING: Spoilers for Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix.
Games/Movies. Grim and I are still patiently waiting for the September release of Supernatural (Season 2). We have been entertaining ourself by playing the Wii and Aces & Eights shooting sessions. I just saw Tombstone for the first time. Good movie and I will admit I cried like a baby when Doc Holiday passed. Val Kilmer never ceases to amaze me. His range is so remarkable. Next movie on the list to see, 1408 and of course, Harry Potter.
Blogging.

Alright ladies and gents. I am off to do something productive. Well not really. We're going to a 4th of July party today but before we do... we're going to a YARN STORE. -=does a dance=- So I have to go bounce on the bed and get Grim up so we can leave in time. -=hugs for all=-
Write more tomorrow!!
