It's been a very rough couple of weeks due to the persistent pain of an abscessed tooth. Lots of antibiotics, a trip to the hospital and it's still there. I'm really starting to get worried about this. However, to take my mind of it, I've been focusing on embroidering.
Unfortunately, I'm less than pleased with my Day of the Dead Bag. I got a little carried away with the iron, not thinking about temperature vs. plastic and meeellt.. While it's salvageable, it pissed me off, so I haven't worked on it since.
To replace it, I've started a "fashion scarf" for spring and summer. The pink is actual purple and the green is a little bit darker than what is visible here.
In addition to this, I've been working on a Birthday present for a friend of mine. I don't want to give away what it is, but here's the start of the embroidery at least.
I've sent out 3 postcards and plan on working on some more over the upcoming weekend. Once they are received I'll post some pictures of them. They're simple but tailored to the recipient so I hope they are liked.
That's it for now. I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.Labels: Embroidery |

New Rating System by Val & Grim |
Monday, April 5, 2010 |
This rating system was created due to my sick/weird way of explaining things. I believe Grim and I were discussing a video game and it went like this...
Me: So did (insert video game name) look good?
Grim: Yea it was good.
Me: Like vomiting up your small intestines good?
Grim: -=Laughter=- We should make a rating system.
Thus.. the new an improved rating system was created. It's the standard one to ten variety but with uncommon descriptors.
1 -Hiccup 2 -Inaccessible Itch 3 -Acid Reflux 4 -Genital Swelling 5 -Explosive Diarrhea 6 -Anal Incontinence 7 -Self Induced Coma 8 -Vomiting Out Small Intestine 9 - Spontaneous Combustion 10 -Black Hole Inducing Singularity
Example of Usage: Everyone keeps rating "The Calling" (Wii game) an inaccessible itch but I definitely think it's up there with genital swelling.
See it's as simple as that. Crude.. but much more fun than saying the movie was good.. or okay. =P. You may be seeing a review blog by myself and Grim soon.. Keep eyes open on facebook for the anouncement.Labels: Rating System |
