This is my car after the storm that ripped through New York yesterday.
We did push all the snow off the top of the car lastnight but without a shovel there is very little I can do. So I am patiently waiting to see if my superintendant will loan me one for the morning. I am still not sure if I am going to work today. The roads are still really icy, so I am waiting on a call back from my boss again. We'll see. She's probably going to want us to come in and if that's the case, I don't anticipate actually arriving until this afternoon.
Even if she doesn't want me to come in, I still have to clean this off before tonight. Apperantly the Albany area has a plowing rule thing. If it goes past a certain amount of inches they ask everyone to park on the even numbered side for 24 hours and then the odd side for 24 hours. This is so they can plow the sides of the road. If you don't do it, you get towed and ticketed which totals to be about 200 dollars. Needless to say, I am shoveling soon.
On a knitting note, I worked on my grandma's scarf for most of the morning yesterday and it's coming along. Then I finished my green hat for the green hat along. FINALLY...
Here are some shots...
I am so pleased with it. This is the first real hat I have made (that ended up fitting me). Labels: After The Blizzard |
Yuck! That looks like Michigan on any day from November 'til April or May!
Thanks for the comment at my blog. :) Great green hat, and I love your hair!!
