Poncho Update!
Wednesday, February 28, 2007
Yeah 120 stitches!!! Finally, I didn't think I was ever going to get there. Now it's 10 rows of garter before I start the decreases all the way back down. -=does a dance=-

That was really all I had to say for now. I had a dramatic day yesterday that I will post about when I am more awake. Knitting Group, as always, was wonderful. It's interesting the different topics that come up when you get a bunch of people together.

Anyways,

Night For Now.

Bye Monday
Monday, February 26, 2007
Thank God. -=giggle=- It wasn't a bad day just a busy and tiring one. I finally got some sleep lastnight. Not nightmare free but at least my body slept through them. It's weird, I have never had this many bad dreams in a row. I talked to my friend Jan about them and she thinks I am stressed about something or feeling out of place. Well I was stressed about something... and now that has been taken care of. I dropped my Spanish Course. -=does a hooray dance=- I know, I know... I'll never get anywhere by quitting something I am having a hard time at. Here's my chain of thought:

*Cue Rationalization*

It's one day a week. I obviously am not grasping the concept of a foreign language easily. This leads me to believe that I need a class that is on a constant basis. Maybe 2 to 3 times a week. As it stands right now, I go to class and practice my arse off in between classes but by the time I get back there. I have lost something in the gap. I am not grasping it. I hate going to class, I dread the homework projects and I panic on exam days. I nearly cried that last exam because I just sat looking at it. I had no idea what to do. Not a clue what the questions *in Spanish* were asking me. I don't like to fail anything, so instead I gracefully withdrew and I'll go from there. It turns out though I have been walking around without any math credits. That seems to be a big deal considering all Psychology programs are usually governed around Math and Science. The College flubbed and transferred a credit that is not applicable. Which doesn't matter. I need a refresher course on math anyway. Science is no biggy. I just can't wait to get back into my Psych classes.

Work was really busy today. I pretty much didn't sit down at all. Tomorrow should be even better considering I let the filing get a little ahead of me today. I talked to an old friend that I haven't heard from in 3+ years. Life seems to be alright in his general region of Ohio. Although I wish he had successfully escaped from that place. Mansfield, bleeds you dry.

In knitting news, I am on 109 stitches of my poncho. 11 more to go and I can start decreasing and working on the back. -=does a jig=- I did a couple of rows on the March-Along shawl but started getting extremely tired so I put it away.

I can't wait for the Secret Pal Festivities to begin. It should be sooo much fun. I keep checking my email to see if I was designated anyone yet. We'll soon see, it's the 26th so it should be long now.

Anyways, that's all that's on my brain for now. I'll post more when I think of more.

Without Further Ado...
Sunday, February 25, 2007
Here are the photos I have been talking about! First and Foremost, here are the pictures of my Grandma's scarf that I finished.

Here's the finished project. Nice and snuggly and soft. Here is another picture that I thought was adorable! My cat apparently liked my selection of the yarn. She slept on it for hours.

Doesn't it Look like a knitting comercial ? Speaking of which, Grim got a kick out of this set up lastnight. He noticed that my knitting stuff was set up like I had intentionally been wanting to take a knitting picture. He played with the camera and this is what came of it.

Here's a current WIP. It's the boring black poncho I was talking about. It's working up really nicely.

I have one more picture of the most wonderful yarn ever! Everyone was soooo right, this has to be the softest most wonderfull yarn I have ever carrassed.

I love it!! It was actually cheaper at my LYS than it was online. So I snagged a skein. I am debating on a bag or a spring hat of some kind. I don't know yet. We'll see. I abandoned the rib stitch prayer shawl and I am going with a triangular one. I don't like rib stitch at all so I am going to do something that won't make me rip out my hair.

That's it for now. I'll post more later.

Bad Dreams
This is two in a single day. God I hate Bad Dreams... this one though was more disorienting than anything. In my dream I woke up and Grim was nowhere to be found. I couldn't find him so I called his mom's house on my cell. I was so tired that I couldn't walk straight. I kept knocking things over and none of the lamps would come on. The darkness if oppresive and makes me feel smothered. I start to panic because I can't get the lights to come on. He gets on the phone and I am trying to talk to him but I keep falling asleep. Everytime I do, he hangs up and I call him back when I come to. This happens like three times, all through the dream I am desperately trying to wake up. Then I leave the house and to drive up and down the same street for some reason. When I come back, everything is different. I don't live with him anymore, I live with my mom in a boarding house. The land lady says something about changing the Tv station and she kisses my cheek all weird like. I run from her and go upstairs. There is a man (full grown and muscular) pulling on spiderman pajamas. (What the hell ?!) It's the panic again, I am freaking out and I run downstairs to see where the hell my stuff went. I see the land lady and she doesn't even know me. She doesn't know what I am talking about because there is no second floor. I look back to the stairs and they're gone. PANIC OVERLOAD and then I blissful regain conciousness. I took me a minute waking up to realize where I was, the panic was overwhelming. So I came out and hugged Grim as I always do with bad dreams. However, if I fall asleep panicked I go right back into the same dream so I have to stay up for a while. I went to Get Stitchy but everyone is probably in bed at this hour. I didn't know what else to do so I thought I would blog the dream.

In other news, after 4 episodes of charmed I am at 102 stitches for my Poncho. I need 120 before I start shaping the hood. I have to remember to ask Lizzie to help me with that part. It's looking really good. I casted on the stitches for the prayer shawl and realized the patten called for Rib Stitch. I don't want to drive myself mental for this one... so I am either going to change the called for stitch to Garter or Seed or I am going to find another pattern. I already frogged the damn thing because I lost track of my stitches. Blegh.

Today has been kind of a crappy day all around though...so the fact I had to frog the knitting really didn't bother me. At around 3 this afternoon I started feeling sick. Then for some reason that triggered the tooth pain. It got worse every moment I was standing. I told Grim I didn't feel well and he told me to go lay down and he'd wake me up in an hour. (His Uncle came from out of town and we were supposed to go see his Father's band play tonight). I wake up 2 1/2 hours later in a whirl because I didn't get up. Grim cancelled our plans because he couldn't wake me up. Which was, in all honesty, great because the moment I opened my eyes my stomach started to hurt. I just hate that it seems like every time we're supposed to go out and do something with a group of people this weird stomach sh*t kicks in full force. I don't even have to eat anything to make it start up now.

Grrr.. I am bitching a lot tonight, which probably had a lot to do with the fact I am awake at 5 in the morning. For now I leave you with the promise my next post will be optimistic. =)

Yeah It's Saturday!!!
Saturday, February 24, 2007
Even though it was a short week, I was dying for Saturday to get here. I want to do a couple little things around the house, kick back, knit and watch Charmed. It's a great show to knit to. It's interesting enough to keep you watching it but cheesy enough to ignore.

I am happy to report that my tooth pain is gone for now. I know I still need to repair it but at the moment, I can't afford to. We'll see what happens and as usual I will post about it. -=giggle=-

I finished my Grandma's scarf and I'll post pictures of it later. I still have a 2 skeins of the fluffy yarn and one skein of the Red Heart soft stuff so I am thinking about making her a matching hat to go with it. Now I just have to find the pattern. It's weird, it's like I can't stand just having one project going. I keep racking my brain trying to figure out which project I want to start next. I am thinking about doing a pair of Fingerless close I saw in a book and starting on the Get Stitchy March Along- Knit for Chicks. That reminds me, I have to call Jan (my mentor and selected Chick to knit for) back. She called me out of the blue lastnight.

In other knitting news, I realized lastnight that knitting by candlelight caused a not-so-serious error (but an error all the same) in my poncho. For some reason I blanked on how to knit into the front and the back. Well I guess I didn't do it right on two rows. Now I have holes in it. Which I mean is fine, I'll take some needle and thread and make that unnoticable to the naked eye. Or since it's just black, I'll get some patches or buttons to throw on it. We'll see. The candle light didn't help, I think I did something weird with another increase.

I can't think of anything else to write and Grim's getting up so I am going to let this end for now.
Pictures to be posted soon!

Dental Issues
Tuesday, February 20, 2007
I was up until 3:00 this morning with that damn tooth pain. Even the Hydrocodone wasn't helping to fully get rid of the pain and knock my arse out. I alternated between bed and couch trying to find a comfortable place. Then I burst into tears as a searing pain raked the right side of my face. Grim comforted me wonderfully and as another hour passed I finally fell into sweet oblivion. I woke up at 6 this morning and called my boss. I told her what had happened and that I needed a couple hours more sleep. She didn't call, which meant there was no problem. I got to work around 10 and called the dentist. I asked them if I could just have an antibiotic because it was definately absessed. They said they still wanted to see me. So I left work at 3:45 and went to my Dentist.

Guess What ?

It was absessed. It needs a root canal, that on average runs around 500 to 700 dollars. I have no dental insurance so that means that price range is what I am looking at. The dentist mentioned that we could come to an arrangement but he hasn't told me his price range yet. So tomorrow I set to looking for Insurance that is reasonable. Fat chance of that, but we'll see. To be honest, I am so tired of being in a constant state of pain all the time. Gotta love genetics, it is the only thing I can blame for this heightened rate of enamel decay. Le Sigh.

So I got an antibiotic and some more pain killers. I am tired enough now that I think if I go to bed I will actually sleep. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I also went out and got the Homespun Lionbrand yarn that I needed for the prayer shawl. It's going to be lovely. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

For Now I am off for some much needed rest.

A Long Day
Monday, February 19, 2007
My Pain hit a high tonight. I was supposed to go with Grim tonight to a friend's house. I couldn't do it because my teeth were bothering me so badly. Then my stomach problems starting kicking in. So I ended up running home and downing Pepto-Bismal (sp?) and taking a pain killer. I did some Spanish homework, which should have been done a while ago, and hung around the house. I really don't think Spanish is going to work out for me. I am going to keep trucking but I think I'll be lucky to pass this class. I finished the Basket Weave scarf. -=does a dance=-

Here's the finished product...

Kenny loved it. I was honestly worried that he wouldn't. It did turn out a little thick and a tad bit long. The problem was that I didn't know exactly how tall he was, so I was guessing. I did look good on him though. His red hair brought out the colors in the scarf.

My next project is going to be a prayer shawl for an old teacher and mentor of mine. I was thinking about using the brown yarn I got from the Warm Ewe for it, but I realized the shawl calls for 2 skeins. That yarn was a little pricey so I think I am going to run by A.C. Moore and get the Lionbrand yarn it requires.

-=Pause For Phone Call=-

I just got off the phone with an old friend of mine. We were chatting it up about the past and it hit me. We used to have so many people in our circle of friends. Now it has been so greatly reduced. It is natural for people to grow and move on but as I reflect on it, I find myself saddened by the distance. Oh well, my old friends I think back on with fond memories. I am glad I have kept contact with the few that survived time and I am always appreciative of the new ones I have made.

Time for Tea and then bed.

Much Happiness...
Sunday, February 18, 2007
Grim and I went shopping today. We couldn't stand it, the money we got from his aunt was burning a hole in our pocket. -=giggle=- I went to a craft store and tried to find the Patons Allure I needed. Couldn't find it but I picked up a couple packs of beads for more stitch markers. Grim didn't want to go into the store with me so I dropped him at the Game store. He ended up finding Call of Cthulhu for the PC and I can't wait to play it. It looks scary as hell. Then we went to 2 bookstores, Barnes and Nobles and Borders. I finally bought Naughty Needles. -=does a little dance=- Grim has already picked out things he says I have to knit. -=laughs=- He found a couple of books he wanted at Borders. It was an all around lovely outing. I decided to try one more craft store for my yarn. Michaels is my savior. They had the yarn in abundance, so I snagged 4 skeins and skipped out giddily.

Chinese food to dinner and then we went to our seperate corners. Grim played his new game and I finished up the Basket Weave scarf for his brother. -=does another dance=- Anyways, that's about all for the evening.

Write more if anything interesting happens.

The Search Continues
It turns out the website I thought had the yarn I needed, only has 1 left in stock. I need three of them. Grrr. So the search went on, I did find a site that had the amount I needed and it was on sale. Total it was about 8 dollars, then I read the fine print at the bottom... Shipping was 12 dollars. To hell with that! I am not paying that much, I'll frog the scarf and remake it before I pay that much. So I am probably going to hop over to Michael's today and see if they have any. It's soooo weird because usual this type of yarn never runs out, It's called Pattons Allure in Aquamarine in case anyone comes acrossed any.

Other than that, today has been laid back. I am relaxing in my new pajamas, which I might mention are soooo soft! Soon I will pick up a WIP and watch From Hell or maybe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A friend of mine loaned me the first season of Charmed and I am interested to see if that is any good. I am not much of a fan of Shannon Doherty though.

Anyways, here's the yarn I got yesterday!

Pretty right ?!

Lovely Day
I'll sum up Friday first then move onto this lovely day.

So I wake up early Friday morning because of the weather and the fact I have to walk 2 blocks to get to my car. I get to work without sliding around too much. It seems that once you get out of my area, the roads are plowed and salted. Shows how much they care, doesn't it ? Anyways, It would seem that every time I am out sick the President chooses that moment to clean out his office. I had a ton of file work to do. So I hurriedly get through my paperwork and get most of the filing done before my boss gets into work.

This was the first glitch in my day. I ask her what we're supposed to right for the snow days we had. She then looks at me and tells me she still has to talk to the President about it but he wants us to make it up and/or use our vacation time. My natural response is...what the hell ?!? I have restraint, so I don't actually say that. You have to understand it's Friday and there is no way I can make up 16 hours of work. As for the vacation time... we get 3 hours of vacation time for every 2 weeks. I only have 16 hours of vacation time saved up because I already used a large portion last year. This vacation time I do have is spoken for. I was beside myself trying to figure out how to make up the time. So the first opportunity I get, I vocalize my concerns. She understands and tells me not to worry that she'll take care of it. So I continue on and run out to Dunkin's to get coffee for everyone. The guy gives me a free Late for no reason... I thank him and go back. My boss tells me to write the snow days off on my sick time. Alright, so we only have 10 days of sick time a year. That sucks but it's better than vacation time. What I don't understand is why I am being punished for a snow day where NO ONE in their right minds went into work. -=shrugs=- Oh well...
I go to AC Moore, they're out of the yarn that I need for my Grandma's scarf but I do find some more on a website. Other than that the day was alright. We RPGed as per usual on Fridays and it was a lot of fun. I got a lovely early birthday gift from Amy and Davinya. I'll post a picture of it later.

Today: I noticed I got my tax return money lastnight so I planned on hitting up my LYS today. Grim and I had planned on going to visit his family and my favorite yarn store is there. It worked out perfectly. I bought some BEAUTIFUL yarn (pictures will be posted tomorrow). I am planning on making a pair of fingerless gloves so I got yarn for that. Then I got some funky yarn to make a hat that will match the gloves. I am also going to be doing the March knit-along. You make something for a special woman in your life. I found a brown colored yarn that has mixes of different flecks of color in it. I am going to make a prayer shawl for a very old friend of mine. She was actually a teacher at my highschool. She is a great friend, an awesome counselor and my spiritual advisor in a way. She isn't ill or anything but I like the idea of thinking positive things while you knit and I think she would like the idea behind it as well. Call me crazy but I don't care.
I am thinking that I am going to get some Malabringo and try it out as well. I heard a rumor though that it sheds reeaaaally bad so I think I am going to put that one to the boards and see if it's true.

For now I believe that is about all. I'll post pictures tomorrow but for now, Night Night.

Snow Day II
Saturday, February 17, 2007
I did not get to work yesterday. I paid my superintendant to dig out my car and eventually I did get free from the wretched snow. This is what happened after I got free from my parking spot. I needed cloves so I stopped at the gas station and slipped/slid into the parking lot. I go inside and get my smokes. I notice while walking back to my car that I have some snow threatening to free itself and block my line of vision. So I click the button to unlock my door, toss in my purse/keys/smokes and grab my scraper. Now when you have the whole button lock thing, once you open the car door it's not supposed to relock itself. Well it did, with all my stuff in the car. I was completely shocked and not shocked at the same time. This type of thing is just my luck.

So I walk back into the gas station and ask if they have any locksmiths in their garage. They do, but it will take a few minutes. Eventually he comes out and after much fiddling he gets my door unlocked. He doesn't charge me for it... He just tells me not to get into any trouble or a car wreck. Now I am not a superstitious person really but I do think it's weird my car door locked on it's on accord. So I am already wondering if I should work today. The roads are really bad and I just don't feel comfortable. Then he makes me promise I don't get into an accident. That was just weird.

I decide I should at least try to get to work. So I go to leave the gas station, and get stuck in a snow bank. I am getting irritated by this point. After a little while I finally get free because my little car as awesome traction once it gets it's grip. I discover that all the major streets are still unplowed. I slide everywhere, nearly get creamed by a SUV and after that I start to panic. My car is being tossed everywhere and I decide I am going home. It takes me 45 minutes to find a parking spot. I call my boss and she understands (Thank God!).

So later on, Grim and I have to move the car to the opposite side of the road so the even numbered side can get plowed. We decide to take this opportunity to run to the store for some groceries. We do out errands... Guess how long it took us to find parking on the odd numbered side of the street ?...Give Up ?... an hour! In that hour we probably circled every walkable area two or three times. We had some groceries in the car so we couldn't park too far away. After an hour passes we get lucky and find a parking spot 2 blocks from the apartment. We get in, drink tea and watch Shark. The End Thursday.

I am getting tired so I will write about Friday (today) Tomorrow (Saturday).

On the plus side, I have gotten a lot of knitting done over the 2 days I have had off from work.

After The Blizzard
Thursday, February 15, 2007
This is my car after the storm that ripped through New York yesterday.

We did push all the snow off the top of the car lastnight but without a shovel there is very little I can do. So I am patiently waiting to see if my superintendant will loan me one for the morning. I am still not sure if I am going to work today. The roads are still really icy, so I am waiting on a call back from my boss again. We'll see. She's probably going to want us to come in and if that's the case, I don't anticipate actually arriving until this afternoon.

Even if she doesn't want me to come in, I still have to clean this off before tonight. Apperantly the Albany area has a plowing rule thing. If it goes past a certain amount of inches they ask everyone to park on the even numbered side for 24 hours and then the odd side for 24 hours. This is so they can plow the sides of the road. If you don't do it, you get towed and ticketed which totals to be about 200 dollars. Needless to say, I am shoveling soon.

On a knitting note, I worked on my grandma's scarf for most of the morning yesterday and it's coming along. Then I finished my green hat for the green hat along. FINALLY...

Here are some shots...

I am so pleased with it. This is the first real hat I have made (that ended up fitting me).

Snow Day
Wednesday, February 14, 2007
So It's 8:33 in the morning and I am supposed to be at work. However, this is the condition of my car at the moment.

The roads are not plowed yet. The snow keeps coming. It's supposed to sleet this afternoon and blizzard conditions until tomorrow at around 6 a.m. My car does not do well in the snow, or at least the tires don't. My car slipped around when it merely coated the road. In this it I think I would end up in a ditch. I have been
trying to call my boss for the last hour or so. She's not big on snow travel either so we'll see what she wants me to do. At this point I don't even know how I am going to get my car out.

Here are some more pictures I shot this morning.

I need to move to a warmer climate.

My Secondary Obsession
Monday, February 12, 2007
I have been playing around and making stitch markers lately. Here are 3 new ones. Much better, in my opinion, than the first set I made. Then again, I could be just tooting my own horn.

Here's the latest batch. Again, most of these beads are straight off the sale rack. Once I get better I am going to get the really nice ones and try my hand at those.

Weekend Finale
Sunday, February 11, 2007
It was a good weekend. Yesterday Grim and I went to my mother's house. It was nice to see everyone. I haven't see Dave (my mom's boyfriend) since he went on tour. He's an interesting character sometimes but I like him alot. Grim cooked dinner for the family. Chicken Parm, his secret sauce and penne. It was awesome but with one little hiccup...

The stove blew up. We seriously thought it was going to catch fire. It turns out the element (sp?) blew in it. From what I hear, I was in the living room, it sparked and flamed blue. All I heard was something like a buzzer going off that kept getting louder then a loud *POP*. I ran in and smoke was billowing out of the oven and here's Grim white as a ghost, holding his chicken marinera. I watched as the elemant yoinked itself apart because it was burning orange. It cooled and settled. No Fire, THANK GOD!!

Dinner was not lost though, the broiler still worked and he used that to melt the cheese on the chicken. Dinner was a success if anything, everyone devoured it and I beemed. He was so nervous it wasn't going to come out right. Then we watched 2 episodes of Ghost Whisperer and I worked on my Brown and Cream monk hat.

We go home, relax and then it happens. I realize the pattern isn't working out. I had to cast on an additional 10 stitches to the 40 it called for. This means I changed the whole decrease pattern towards the end. So I am fiddling with it and see what I can do.. Slip!! AHHHH! Dropped stitch! I try to collect it but it just keeps getting more and more tangled. I frogged the thing because I can just start over with my 50 sts and use the suggestions from my fellow Get Stitchiers and do it right this time. Although I didn't think of that then, and I was pretty upset.

Today, was hang out day. I played on the computer, did house work and that was it. I didn't feel like doing anything else. I didn't even feel like knitting today which is typical of me after I have to frog something.

Tomorrow is another work day and hopefully I get my green yarn. I can't wait to get my hat done. It seems like everyone has gotten theirs together and I am still so far behind. I did make one but I have noone to wear it so it doesn't really qualify for the avatar part.

My Update
Friday, February 9, 2007
It's been a busy week. I don't know why it was so much busier than any other but for some reason it felt like it. I was right, I did botch my Spanish exam but I went in early and clarified some terms with her. Hopefully that helps. I am just overly stressing about this I guess. Public speaking - Instructional Presentation - 95%. The Quiz I got a 90%. So I think I am doing well enough in this class. I had to do a speech lastnight. Blegh. The point was a Target Audience. You had to choose who this presentation was directed to and you have to read a poem or a song. I read K's Choice "Not an Addict" - Target Audience = People who wish to understand how it feels to be addicted. I was shaking, it was not fun.

I haven't gotten my yarn from knitpicks yet so the Green Hat Along has been temporarily put on hold for me. I am going to a LYS that just opened up so I am hoping to find something in there that isn't incredibly pricey. We'll see, I'll probably post about my adventure later with some photos of my WIPS. My grandma's scarf is coming along. My poncho I am going to have to pick up again soon. I started working a couple of rows lastnight but for some reason the knit into back and front stitch was really confusing me.

Alright, I am going to go and actually work. Boss just called I have things to do now. =P

Circular Knitting
Monday, February 5, 2007
This is my first attempt at circular knitting.

Not to bad huh ? So I am actually finished with the Green Hat I was making. Unfortunately, the cast on number for the monk hat was waaaayy smaller than I thought it was. So this is going to be a gift for a cousin of mine that loves hats.

Cute isn't it ?!?!? Sorry I am tooting my own horn alittle bit. It was sooo much fun to make. I can't even think about frogging it so I figure, why not give it away. I'll order more yarn from knitpicks tonight. I worked on my mama's scarf for a while lastnight. I figured since I had no desire to watch the Superbowl it would be perfect knitting time. I also got lucky and found the same color yarn at A.C. Moore to finish my Boyfriend's Brother's scarf. I didn't think I was going to be able to locate it.

Non Knitting related - I had a blast for the better part of Saturday. I got my hair cut, hung out with my mom and my brother. Then of course there was the club. The first Saturday of every month is Alien Nation, a local Industrial/Goth night in Albany. This month they had a Valentines Day Formal Theme. It was awesome!! Grim dressed in a suit and I dressed in my old homecoming dress. We danced, drank, socialized and got to hang around awesome people. If you check out my myspace you will see some of the pictures taken of me. Hopefully soon we will have the photos shot of us at Alien Nation. I'll post when I get them. Sunday we spent time at Grim's parents house. Pasta.. mmmm Yummy.. Then of course we watched the Superbowl and alternated between that and Ghost Hunters. Good times.

Today, back to work.. It was busy but -=shrugs=- Mondays usually are. Tomorrow I think my boss is taking me out for lunch again. I have a doctors appointment to go to after work. Sometime I have to get some studying in. I seriously bombed that test last week. Maybe I should be studying instead of writing in this thing.. Better go get to it then.

A New Month Already.
It seems like January didn't happen. It's here and then poof it's gone. It's been a couple of days since I have posted but it's been busy lately. Work has been keeping me at the office late. Then of course there is school. I had a Spanish test yesterday that I completely bombed. I am meeting up with the teacher next week. We're going to go over all the lessons so hopefully along the way it clicks.

Knitting Related - I went to A.C. Moore with my 50% off coupon and got myself a knitting needle carrying case. I noticed that some of my needles are bowed. In order to not bust them I thought a carrying case was the best route. I also got a couple more bags of beads. Expect more stitch markers soon. WIPs- I am currently working on my grandma's scarf. Here is a picture of it so far.

Tomorrow I am going to cast on for my Green Hat -=does a dance=-. I am taking a little break from the poncho. I'll probably go back to it after I get my hat and scarf done. Those are top priority.

I checked out the knitting classes and they really don't have anything I am interested in right now. Oh well, I'll keep reading and learning as I go along. That's pretty much how I am going to be doing my monk hat. I fiddled around and got my blog in shape finally. I am also debating on signing up for the Secret Pal 10. I think it would be alot of fun!

Non-Knitting related, I saw Scarface for the first time tonight. Not a bad movie. Weird and Symbolic but not as bad as I thought it was going to be. My boyfriend added The Godfather to our netflix because I haven't seen that either. Seems like he's in a mafia mood. -=giggles=-

That's all for now.
